In all the years of playing music I have found that the most important tool of all is the metronome. Have you ever heard a fast lick or run and thought "I can never do that" or you try to play it from sheet music or tab and your fingers just seem to freeze up and not go where you want them. Well the trick is timing. Once you learn to play it slow in perfect time (by repetition) you will be able to do it faster. A few years back there was a extremely fast lick I wanted to play and just couldn't get it to save my neck I tried for weeks to play this line that only had a few simple notes (maybe 4 or 5) I was really frustrated but determined I finally broke out the metronome and set it so slow that I couldn't miss played the phrase about 10 times at that speed until I did it perfect then I increase the speed a notch or two and played it again until it was perfect I repeated these steps until I got to the speed I wanted and amazingly I was player faster than I thought would ever be possible and what's more it was CLEAN!!!! We are proud to say that we have been able to turn around our band and instrument repairs in less than 48 hours thanks to our excellent repairmen that we have. We'd like to thank our repairman GEORGE REASER for taking our tent and doing the repairs at the FBA function that was sponsored by DELAND HIGH SCHOOL this past Saturday
